Ann Taylor’s new concept store is an extension of the brand’s rejuvenation. With the welcoming of CFDA member Lisa Axelson as head of design in 2009, the “new Ann” exudes ease, sophistication, versatility and a more fashion forward direction. The new store features a more discernable fashion point of view with a runway of mannequins running down the middle of the store styled in Lisa’s favorite looks of the season.

 

The new concept store is designed to create a more intimate shopping experience for the Ann Taylor client. The new boutiques are functional with shop within shops that make finding your favorite pieces easy and enjoyable.

 

The merchandise bays set on either side of the runway are lined with softly gleaming, creamy-white lacquer bins, trimmed in satin-brushed nickel and backed with champagne-colored pearlescent frosted glass. The accessory area, centrally located immediately adjacent to the cash wrap, becomes the dynamic, energetic “heart” of the space. The styling room is enhanced by an intimate boudoir-like antechamber – a semi-private try-on area, replete with three-way mirror, lounge seating and a chandelier.

The façade radiates modernity and graphic design with a luminescent frosted and silver-tinted mirrored glass offsetting a large, bold Ann Taylor logo. There is a sense of discovery with “shop in shop” zones and beautifully merchandised product.
